Dr. Sadia Hayat joined the Institute for Asthma and Allergy in March 2026. She completed her fellowship in Allergy & Clinical Immunology at Washington University in St. Louis / Barnes-Jewish Hospital and her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Texas – Houston Health Sciences Center. Dr. Hayat is board-certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology.
Following her fellowship, Dr. Hayat served as Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center, where she contributed to the fellowship training program as core faculty. She has also authored peer-reviewed articles and has actively participated in clinical research.
Originally from Pakistan and Germany, Dr. Hayat obtained her medical degree from the Aga Khan University in Pakistan. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology (AAAAI) and is currently a board member and President of the Greater Washington Allergy Society.
Dr. Hayat believes in providing excellent allergy and asthma care with compassion and respect. She focuses on helping patients manage conditions such as allergic and non allergic rhinitis, asthma, sinusitis, drug and food allergies, anaphylaxis, eczema, and hives, aiming to improve their quality of life.
